About Me

Sarah Coupal's interest in food and nutrition started when she visited a children's museum with a miniature grocery store at the age of 8. Since that time she has been fascinated with all types of food how they can impact your overall well-being. Her training in Medical Nutrition Therapy can help patients with a variety of disease states including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease; as well as people trying to improve their overall health. Sarah has a passion for helping patients with complex dietary restrictions because she loves thinking of creative solutions to challenging problems. She also loves working with endurance athletes as an avid outdoor recreator herself.

Sarah believes all people deserve nutritional care and takes a person-centered, evidence-based approach. She feels that nutrition doesn't have to be as complicated as it is often made out to be.

Sarah graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and completed her Dietetic Internship with Illinois State University.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys trail running, backpacking, ceramics, acrylic painting, watching YouTube, and nordic skiing.
