About

Vickie's interest in Nutrition started from a young adult where she spent much time in the kitchen with her grandmothers. She initially was on a premed path but quickly changed when she realized she could study Nutrition. Vickie's ~10 years working in hospitals, with 2 of those years as a Clinical Nutrition Manger, makes her extremely knowledgeable in Medical Nutrition Therapy and can support clients with a variety of conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal diseases, post-surgrical and wound healing, renal disease as well as disease prevention and wellness. Vickie is also very passionate about providing weight neutral care and helping people normalize their relationship with foods. BMI and weight will not be used in her care to determine health; instead, she focuses on behavior changes through incorporating more fruits/veggies/whole gains and finding joyful movement daily.

Vickie believes that all people deserve nutrition care and practices with a HAES informed approach. She truly is passionate about helping people become the healthiest version of themselves regardless of their body size or weight.

Vickie Graduated from Florida International University in 2013 with Magna Cum Laude and completed her Didactic Internship through Keiser with Summa Cum Laude honors.

When she is not working, she spends her time with her husband, 2 sons and 2 dogs. She enjoys swimming with her kids on the weekends, traveling, exploring new local parks, skiing, cooking and exploring local eateries.
