About Me

Alyssa May’s interest in nutrition began with her passion for understanding how food affects both mental and physical health, especially after experiencing digestive health challenges firsthand. This personal experience inspired her to become a dietitian and help others find balance, improve their well-being, and develop a positive relationship with food.

Alyssa’s training in Medical Nutrition Therapy allows her to support clients with various needs, including managing diabetes, improving gut health, and preventing chronic diseases. Her own struggles with digestive health have given her a deeper understanding of how small, sustainable changes can make a significant impact on symptom relief and overall wellness.

Alyssa believes in providing personalized, compassionate care and takes the time to understand each client’s goals and challenges. Her approach focuses on helping clients achieve progress through realistic and empowering strategies that foster food freedom and sustainable health.

Alyssa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Food and Nutrition and a Master’s of Science in Clinical Dietetics from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is committed to lifelong learning to ensure her clients receive the best care based on the latest nutrition science.
