About
Alyssa May is a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping women improve their gut health, balance hormones, and achieve sustainable weight loss through personalized nutrition. Her interest in nutrition began with her desire to understand how food influences both physical and mental health, especially after experiencing digestive health challenges firsthand. This personal experience sparked her dedication to helping others uncover the root causes of their symptoms and feel confident in their bodies again.
Alyssa specializes in supporting women who struggle with digestive issues, hormone imbalances, fatigue, and weight concerns. She combines her training in Medical Nutrition Therapy with a root-cause approach to help clients improve gut function, support hormone balance, stabilize blood sugar, and build nourishing habits that support long-term health.
Her approach focuses on identifying underlying imbalances—such as digestive dysfunction, inflammation, stress, or blood sugar irregularities—that can contribute to symptoms like bloating, irregular cycles, fatigue, and difficulty losing weight. Alyssa believes that small, sustainable changes can lead to powerful improvements in energy, digestion, mood, and overall well-being.
Alyssa provides compassionate, individualized care and takes the time to understand each client’s unique story, health history, and goals. She works collaboratively with clients to create realistic strategies that promote food freedom, restore trust with the body, and support lasting lifestyle changes.
Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Food and Nutrition and her Master of Science in Clinical Dietetics from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest research in nutrition, gut health, and women’s health.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active with hiking, pickleball, and gym workouts, and experimenting with new recipes. She also loves being outdoors and relaxing with a good book
