About Me

Ashley is a Registered Dietitian whose career in nutrition began with her love of science and working with diverse groups of people.

After attending an all-girls private school in New York City, she stayed local and attended Columbia University for college. With a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and Hispanic studies, she's been very passionate about the intersection of medicine, culture, women’s health and behavior change. She spent many years working in clinical research for prominent hospitals in NYC, and ultimately understood the importance of chronic disease prevention and the role nutrition plays in optimizing health. She went on to pursue a Master of Science in clinical nutrition from New York University and competed her dietetic internship (clinical training) at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She's currently credentialed in New York State as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) and in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN).

At her core, she believes that eating well requires sustainable habits not overly restrictive diets. Optimal nutrition should include embracing cultural foods, promoting physical activity people enjoy, and simplifying an approach to full-body wellness. Particularly, she loves supporting women who have been overwhelmed by diet culture and the impact it’s had on their body image. Ashley believes it's time to release society’s pressure on what women should look like under the guise of “health” and, instead, celebrate a journey of true, holistic wellbeing.

In her spare time, she loves to dance, listen to music, take daily fast-paced walks, dine out with loved ones, travel internationally, spend quality time with family, and get a full night's rest! She recently moved to Philadelphia from NYC, and lives with her husband and two energetic children.
