About
Ashley Porterfield, MS, RDN, became interested in nutrition through her lifelong experience as an athlete managing digestive issues. Her curiosity about how food impacts energy, recovery, and overall well-being evolved into a deep passion for helping others feel strong, supported, and in control of their health.
With training in Medical Nutrition Therapy and advanced functional nutrition, Ashley helps clients address concerns like digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, and weight management. She takes a personalized, root-cause approach combining science-based strategies, targeted interventions, and practical tools to make lasting nutrition and lifestyle changes feel approachable and sustainable.
Ashley is especially passionate about supporting women who feel disconnected from their bodies or unsure of where to start. She creates a non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, uncover what’s really going on, and build a plan that works with their lifestyle... not against it.
Ashley earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science from UCLA, and her Master’s degree in Nutrition from USC, where she focused on healthy aging and longevity. Her diverse experience spans clinical nutrition, private practice, and elite sports, including her time as the team dietitian for LA Galaxy, where she helped the team win the 2024 MLS Cup. She’s also a published wellness writer and educator who’s passionate about turning complex health science into clear, actionable steps.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys cuddling with her cats, traveling with her husband, trying new recipes, and doing pilates. She believes good nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be personal. Her goal is to make nutrition counseling feel empowering, not overwhelming, and to support every client with compassion and clarity, every step of the way.
