Bindi Desai Lessing, MPH, RD, is a Chicago-based Registered Dietitian. With over 15 years of experience as a Nutritionist/Program Coordinator in Chicago, she has built a career dedicated to public health and disease prevention within families.
Extensive Public Health Experience: Her career includes more than two decade of service in private practice, non-profit organizations, and the Illinois Department of Human Services.
Founder & Lead Dietitian: Bindi established Chicago Taste Buddies as the first dietitian-created program designed to teach children healthy lifestyles through hands-on activities like gardening and nutrition education.
Media Recognition: Her innovative approach to family and children's health has been featured in major publications and news outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, CNN, and the BBC.
Bindi’s professional path was inspired by her personal journey of adopting a healthier lifestyle as a young adult, which led her to lose weight and gain energy through natural nutrition and physical activity.
Outside of her professional work, Bindi is an avid recipe creator and podcast listener who enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends. She currently resides in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with her husband and two children.
