About Me
Bristy loved food from a very young age, but food didn't always love her back...As a child, she struggled with food sensitivities and eczema. As a young adult, she experienced additional challenges with poor digestion, chronic fatigue, nutrient deficiencies, and worsening eczema. Her love for cooking, coupled with her personal health challenges, inspired her to learn about nutrition science and pursue a career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
After completing her Bachelor degree at San Diego State University, she applied what she learned to her own life and reversed her chronic health conditions. Since becoming a dietitian in 2019, Bristy has helped numerous others to improve their own quality of life through nutrition. She supports clients with a variety of conditions, including diabetes, food sensitivities, general well-being and weight challenges (weight gain/loss).
In addition to her clinical background, she has years of experience in the food service and nutrient analysis industries. She is skilled at creating meals for diabetics and individuals with food allergies/sensitivities. She has also completed plant-based culinary training and can support vegan/vegetarian individuals to ensure nutritional adequacy.
Bristy believes that living a healthy lifestyle should be enjoyable, sustainable, and meet the unique needs of the individual. No one size fits all. She is most passionate about educating and empowering others to reach and maintain their nutrition goals.
When she isn’t working, Bristy loves to cook for family and friends, play with her border collie, and spend time in nature. Some of her favorite activities include hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and exploring new places. In the evenings, she loves to cuddle up on the couch and watch a good TV series.
