About Me

Christina's interest in nutrition began in earnest when her first child was born with multiple food allergies. She had to completely revamp her family's diet as so many foods were now "off limits". She felt totally overwhelmed at first and so she "gets it". Shifting mindsets and ways of eating, whether for weight loss, or GI issues, or just wanting to live life with new vigor, is a journey and a process. As someone who's "been there and done that", she will be with you every step of the way as you navigate this together.

She truly believes that "food is medicine" and is aligned with the Integrative/Functional Medicine side of things as well. In addition to becoming a RD as a "second career", she has a Masters in Social Work and worked for many years in the mental health space and continues to do so as a PRN RD in a behavioral health facility. She works with so many people who are struggling with body weight concerns and feels its truly an epidemic in today's dysfunctional "diet culture". She also has a strong interest in how food impacts our moods and mental health and is an avid lifetime learner.

Her work in a teaching kitchen has also provided her with much experience in the culinary nutrition world as she loves getting "down and dirty" in the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes and techniques that she can then pass on to her clients to help make cooking and preparing meals simpler and easier.

Originally from upstate NY, she currently lives in a suburb of Cincinnati with her pug "Ellie". She enjoys visits with her 2 grown sons (when they make time for her!), she loves to quilt, and is a member of a few local hiking groups.
