About
Deiascha-Britte Bancayanvega’s interest in nutrition began early in life. Growing up in a family affected by type 1 and type 2 diabetes, thyroid conditions, and vitamin B12–related anemia, she became very aware of how nutrition and genetics can influence long-term health. These experiences sparked her curiosity about how the body responds to food and inspired her to pursue a career helping others understand their health and develop realistic, sustainable nutrition goals.
As a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Registered Dietitian candidate, Deiascha has training in Medical Nutrition Therapy and enjoys supporting individuals with a variety of health concerns including metabolic health, diabetes, digestive health, and overall wellness. She also completed nutrition coaching training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which helps her translate nutrition science into practical, achievable lifestyle habits.
Deiascha has a strong interest in functional nutrition and particularly enjoys the emerging field of Nutrigenomics, which explores how genetics and nutrition work together to influence health. She is currently continuing advanced nutrition training through graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
She believes that nutrition should feel empowering rather than restrictive and practices with a supportive, patient-centered approach. Deiascha enjoys helping clients better understand their bodies, build sustainable habits, and develop realistic strategies that fit their everyday lives.
Deiascha earned her Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Bradley University and holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University.
Outside of her professional work, Deiascha enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She is a lifelong swimmer and enjoys endurance activities such as swimming, snowshoeing, and hiking with her dogs. Living near the ocean in Maine and spending time in Nova Scotia have also shaped her appreciation for nature, movement, and a balanced lifestyle.
