Denise Allen

Denise Allen, MS, RD, CD is a Registered Dietitian. She had an interest in nutrition and health early on in her life. After working in social service positions for a number of years, Denise observed how important one's nutrition can impact one's health. This lead to an increased passion for pursuing nutrition. She then embarked on earning a MS in Nutrition from Bastyr University. After graduating, Denise had a passion of working with individuals with eating disorders as well as individuals with diabetes and chronic kidney disease. She began her nutrition career with the focus of gaining knowledge and skills to assist individuals with their nutrition goals.

Denise has provided nutrition education and support to individuals and groups with a variety of health issues and nutrition goals. She is currently working in an eating disorder partial hospitalization program. Her other main areas of work experience include providing diabetes education and working with individuals receiving dialysis. With over 15 years in the nutrition field, Denise has provided nutrition support to those with food allergies, digestive issues, seeking general health improvement, as well as supported individuals with plant based diets and individuals who have received bariatric surgery.

Denise's seeks to support individuals as part of their team. She will meet individuals where they are at with their health, knowledge, and goals. She believes all foods fit and individuals can determine what nutrition plan will be most supportive. Her goal is to educate individuals to help them feel more in control of their nutrition needs. Additionally, her approach will provide individuals with a caring and realistic nutrition plan.

Denise currently lives north of Spokane, WA. She and her husband enjoy the outdoors and spending time with their 3 grandsons. Denise enjoys traveling and seeing new places. She is looking forward to learning about gardening and growing her own garden.
