About Me

Gretel's interest in nutrition began during her childhood in Hong Kong, where she was immersed in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and witnessed firsthand the powerful healing properties of food. Her training in Medical Nutrition Therapy enables her to support clients with cardiovascular diseases, disordered eating, as well as those seeking disease prevention and overall wellness. Gretel is especially inspired by her studies of centenarians in Mediterranean Blue Zones and her fascination with cutting-edge microbiome research.

Believing that all people deserve compassionate and personalized nutritional care, Gretel practices with a holistic, patient-centered approach. She finds joy in helping each client discover their unique path to food freedom and vibrant health, blending evidence-based strategies with time-honored traditions.

Gretel graduated summa um laude in Nutrition and Dietetics from Brigham Young University (Not related to nutrition, she also got an MBA recently!) She completed her dietetic internship at the VA Hospital in St. Louis. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, allowing her to serve a diverse client base.

When not working with clients, Gretel enjoys exploring local farmers' markets, practicing hot yoga, hosting slow and intimate dinner parties, and spending time in the mountains. She finds that connecting with nature and people reinforces her belief in the healing power of a balanced, mindful lifestyle.
