About Me

Helen became interested in nutrition after seeing how the difference in everyday food choices played out in the lives of her grandparents. After years of being an ESL teacher, she wanted to spend her days talking about something she was passionate about which started her down the path of nutrition.

After getting her Masters in Nutritional Science at San Jose State University, she completed her clinical rotation at Kaiser Permanente and works at Stanford Medicine Children's Health and a local community clinic. Helen loves being able to work with clients from a variety of cultures and social economic backgrounds. With a strong foundation of clinical knowledge, she supports people with a variety of conditions including prediabetes, diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2, cardiovascular disease, and obesity to name a few. She also enjoys supporting families with kids who have constipation, feeding difficulties, food allergies or who are picky eaters.

Helen believes in the power of food when it comes to nourishing our bodies and minds. She's here to help navigate the often confusing messaging from the internet and social media around food by sharing research based information.

In her free time, Helen loves trying new recipes and being outdoors.
