About

Janice’s passion for nutrition began when she saw firsthand how nutrition helped improve her favorite uncle’s well-being and quality of life during his battle with cancer. She quickly realized that dietary patterns can play a powerful role in both the prevention and management of many diseases. She dedicated herself to serving and supporting individuals who are vulnerable or seeking nutrition guidance. Janice has made this her life’s mission because she believes that everyone deserves to enjoy the pleasure of food while navigating diseases, symptoms, or other health challenges. She also believes that food is deeply connected to who we are—our preferences, history, culture, traditions, and identity. It is her passion and privilege to walk alongside her clients, helping them discover both the known and unknown aspects of their health journey.

With a strong foundation in Medical Nutrition Therapy and clinical experience in the hospital setting, Janice specializes in helping clients with post-acute care and chronic disease management, addressing weight concerns, and disease prevention. Her areas of expertise include diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, and other complex medical conditions.

Janice earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and later pursued her passion for nutrition by earning a Master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Southern California (USC), with a focus on healthy aging and longevity. Drawing upon her strong scientific foundation, she continues to deepen her expertise in clinical nutrition through her work as a dietitian in the acute care hospital setting, where she cares for patients with a wide range of complex medical conditions.

Outside of work, Janice enjoys expressing her creativity in the kitchen by developing new recipes and continuously expanding her cooking skills. In her free time, she stays active through sports such as badminton and pickleball, while also making time for yoga and meditation to support her overall well-being.
