About Me

Jenny's interest in nutrition began at a young age seeing her mother help her grandfather that struggled to manage multiple nutrition-related chronic diseases. It wasn't until taking a nutrition course in college did she learn what a registered dietitian was and how much of a role nutrition plays in various conditions. At 19, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and many of her studies focused on autoimmune, women's, and hormonal health. She completed the Neonatal Nutrition Fellowship with Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas where she shifted her focus to maternal and pediatric health.

After completing graduate school and the dietetic internship, she began practicing as an outpatient dietitian for two clinics in underserved areas of Houston assessing primarily pediatrics. She later joined a hospital working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. With her extensive clinical experience, she has built knowledge amongst several conditions including obesity, diabetes/prediabetes, perinatal nutrition, cancer, liver disease, kidney disease, hypertension, reflux disease, failure to thrive, weight loss, malnutrition, nutrition support (tube feeding, parenteral nutrition), disordered eating, digestive complications, and more.
