About Me
Jessica's interest in nutrition started in culinary school when she had her first nutrition class. She was very intrigued about all things nutrition and using this to further advance her culinary arts skills. Her training in the kitchen as well as Medical Nutrition Therapy can support a range of clients who seek assistance in managing their Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Weight loss/gain goals, prenatal and postpartum nutrition, as well as infant/ child/ teen nutrition and disease prevention/wellness. Jessica has additional passion for the areas of childhood nutrition as a Certified Specialist in Pediatrics.
Jessica believes that all people deserve nutritional care and practices with a compassionate and open type approach. Not all plan and recommendations fit everyone. She feels like food should still be enjoyed and not be considered stressful topic.
Jessica graduated with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts form Johnson & Wales University. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida State University and completed a Master’s in Business Degree from American Public University.
Jessica enjoys activities such as hiking, kayaking, lifting weights, cooking and reading a good book. She is a fur mom to bunnies and dogs. She is also kept very busy by her teenager. Jessica volunteers with non-profit organizations in the community that focus on the underserved population, providing nutrition education and cooking classes.
