About
Hi there! I’m Joni Garcia, a Registered Dietitian who has always had a passion for food. My journey into nutrition began when I struggled with my own relationship with food as a teenager. I became overly focused on calories and restriction, but I realized that true health is about so much more than that. Through my studies, I learned that food is not just fuel; it’s vital information for our bodies. My early career as a public health dietitian, working closely with local farmers, transformed my perspective on food quality and deepened my love for cooking.
Now, I focus on helping busy women and moms who often put everyone else first. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, tired, and unsure of what to eat. Together, we create a space where they can find calm and confidence around food, working towards more energy and balanced meals without the constraints of diets or extremes. My specialties include holistic nutrition and cooking confidence, and I love sharing how simple, nourishing meals can positively impact overall well-being. My approach is rooted in self-compassion and science. We’ll start by focusing on real, whole foods and addressing any roadblocks that have kept you feeling stuck. I emphasize realistic goals and a customized plan that fits your lifestyle, ensuring that eating well feels supportive rather than restrictive.
Clients can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where we celebrate progress over perfection. I believe in meeting you where you are and helping you take small, manageable steps toward lasting change. My ultimate goal is for you to feel empowered and confident in nourishing yourself for the long haul.
When I’m not working, you can find me at the farmers market, co-managing one in my community, connecting with local farmers, and exploring new ingredients. I enjoy cooking as a creative outlet and love experimenting with fresh, seasonal recipes. I’m also a yoga teacher, and I weave breathwork and mindfulness into my daily life. Life is about balance, right?
