About Me
Kaitlyn's interest in nutrition started at a young age when her grandmother underwent emergency surgery on her stomach. She learned about how important nutrition is as a piece of the medical puzzle and how good nutrition can complement good medical care to support a person's mental and physical health. Kaitlyn has always been interested in science and is a told nerd for all things biology!
She completed her Bachelor's and Dietetic Internship in 2017 and received her registered dietitian credential shortly after. Her first job was as a clinical dietitian in a hospital, and she continued to work full-time in this role while pursuing her Master's degree in Gerontology.
Kaitlyn is currently working on completing her PhD in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She works in a research lab studying how the gut microbiome influences our entire body, including our brain and muscles!
Kaitlyn understands that our gut is closely connected to our brain and is excited to work with patients who have mental health or complex GI conditions such as IBS, depression, or anxiety and are interested in using an intuitive approach to nutrition.
