About Me
Kathy chose to pursue a career in nutrition when she was about 12 years old. Her training in nutrition allows her to provide education and counseling to support clients with a variety of conditions such as pre-diabetes, diabetes, kidney disease, heart health, gastrointestinal issues, overweight and obesity and disease prevention/wellness. Over the years, Kathy gained additional passion in the areas of diabetes and kidney disease as she witnessed the overwhelming frustration and confusion of her clients who came in to see her. Additionally, she strives to help people without chronic disease make changes to their diet and lifestyle to help prevent disease development.
Kathy loves to help clear her clients’ confusion around their diet so that they can feel confident in choosing foods when shopping and planning meals. She helps them have a better understanding of what dietary changes are necessary to improve their health and well-being. She makes it a priority to answer her clients’ questions and helps them develop steps to take to meet their health and nutrition goals.
Kathy attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism and a Master’s degree in clinical nutrition.
Kathy enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, and spending time with friends and family. She is married to her husband of over 25 years, has 3 children, and several cats and dogs!
