About

Kayla's interest in nutrition started when a close member of her family was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and she wanted to learn how she can make an impact on one's health through nutrition. Her training and knowledge of medical nutrition therapy allows her to understand underlying health conditions while directing clients on improving overall wellness.

Kayla has a passion for wellness nutrition and weight management. She loves to see how one's relationship with food can create such an impact on their overall wellness. She's a strong believer of "give a man a fish, and you can feed him for a day. Teach the man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." Kayla believes everyone should have an opportunity to understand how food affects one's health.

Kayla completed her bachelor of science in nutrition at the University of Tennessee and received her master of science in exercise and nutrition therapy from Lipscomb University.

In her free time, Kayla enjoys gardening, shopping, photography, and just being outside. Kayla grows tomatoes, peppers, and various culinary herbs in her garden. While not a professional photographer, she considers herself a shutterbug.

She also enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
