About Me

Kim's love of nutrition comes from her fascination with how the human body works combined with her obsession with eating and cooking delicious foods! In 2011, when Kim was in culinary school in North Hollywood, CA, she took a nutrition science class that was instructed by a Registered Dietitian, and that's when she decided that's what she wanted to be when she grew up. After finishing culinary school and cooking for a short time at a fancy restaurant, Kim completed her nutrition degree at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016. Her internship took place at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV and she became a Registered Dietitian in 2017.

Kim’s culinary training means she can bring her skills to the table in her nutrition counseling sessions. This opens the door for more methods of teaching clients about nutrition and eating. One of Kim’s favorite things to do is a cooking demo!

Being multicultural, Kim is sensitive to people of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds. She has worked with a wide variety of clientele such as expecting mothers, mothers of infants and children, young adults and older adults, people with diabetes, heart health concerns, and weight loss goals. Most recently, Kim developed a bariatric nutrition program for those who had or were preparing for weight loss surgery. In this program, Kim worked with hundreds of patients in private appointments, online classes and support groups.

Prior to her nutrition career, Kim grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL until she left home to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Kim now lives in Nevada with her family and spends most of her time with her two little dogs reading, cooking, and doing arts & crafts.
