About Me
My experience with nutrition dates back to adolescence. As a child and teen I suffered from an eating disorder. A Registered Dietitian helped me to outgrow my eating disorder and develop a healthy relationship with food. This experience inspired me to learn more about nutrition science and help others to heal their bodies from the inside out.
I support my clients by being open, nonjudgemental, and honest. I provide the most current, evidenced based approaches, while also being creative and coming up with interventions that are realistic and achievable. My passions and areas of expertise are in gut health, eating disorders, and chronic disease prevention/maintenance (such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, renal disease, and more!). I've worked with clients ages 5 years old, all the way through 103 years old! Regardless of your diagnosis or age, I am confident I have the skills and knowledge needed to help you meet your goals.
My mission is to help others love and understand their bodies. I believe that a little education goes a long way. I've found people have long lasting results when they understand the "why" behind my interventions. My goal is to help you feel the best you've ever felt before!
I obtained my Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University, which was followed by a two year clinical internship in dietetics. Some of my internship hours were at top facilities, such as NYU Langone, Cornell Cooperative, Montefiore, and Walden Behavioral Care (eating disorder clinic).
Some personal interests of mine include nutrition science, functional nutrition, yoga, hiking, gardening, and my two kitties!
