About

Laura’s path into nutrition is both professional and deeply personal. Growing up, she saw firsthand how health challenges can ripple through families through mental health conditions like anxiety and depression, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, and a family history of autoimmunity. Meanwhile, Laura also struggled with her own gastrointestinal symptoms and mental health challenges, which often felt confusing and difficult to fully resolve through conventional approaches alone.

When her own mental health became overwhelming more than a decade ago, Laura began searching for answers. She explored therapy, medications, neurofeedback, and advanced testing—but it was through nutrition and targeted dietary changes that she began to experience meaningful improvements in both her mental health and GI symptoms. That turning point reshaped her understanding of health and inspired her to pursue functional nutrition. That experience transformed not only her health, but also her career path, and ultimately inspired her to pursue a master’s degree and work as a functional nutritionist.

Today, Laura specializes in nutrition for mental health, gastrointestinal dysfunction, hormone balance, and metabolic health. With over 10 years of experience, she uses a personalized, root-cause approach to help clients understand how their diet, lifestyle, and physiology intersect. She incorporates lab testing to better understand each client’s unique physiology and translate complex science into clear, actionable steps that feel realistic and sustainable.

Laura believes that everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey, especially those who have been told “everything looks normal” but still don’t feel well. She takes a compassionate, collaborative approach, helping clients connect the dots and uncover nutrition-related root causes that may have been overlooked. Her goal is to help you move beyond frustration and confusion, and toward clarity, resilience, and lasting change.

Laura holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States, an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) through the American Nutrition Association and a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN). She has also completed additional training in nutritional psychology, integrative and functional psychiatry, digestive health, metabolic health, and hormone balance, and continues to pursue ongoing education to better serve her clients.
