About
Miriam Wiener, MS, MPH, is a diabetes, prediabetes, and PCOS specialist for women and girls. With more than 30 years of experience, she provides evidence-based nutrition therapy to help her patients improve glucose control, lower their A1c, address insulin resistance, and understand exactly how food affects their blood sugar.
Her approach goes far beyond generic nutrition advice or a standard meal plan. Miriam considers each patient’s medical history, laboratory results, medications, lifestyle, food preferences, and, when available, continuous glucose monitor data. She then provides personalized strategies for meals, carbohydrates, protein, cravings, weight concerns, PCOS-related nutrition concerns, and glucose patterns. Nothing is left to guesswork.
Miriam is a graduate of UCLA and the UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she developed an award-winning diabetes prevention and management program based on her S.T.E.P.S. to Nourishment® framework. She is also the creator of a licensed high school nutrition curriculum and has been featured in the Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles.
As a wife and mother, Miriam understands that nutrition recommendations must work within the realities of everyday life and family responsibilities. Patients appreciate her warmth, clinical expertise, and clear guidance. You will understand what to eat, why your glucose is responding the way it is, and exactly what to do next.
