About

Nicole's interest in nutrition began while she was working in the kitchen and dining room of an Assisted Living Facility when she was in high school. There she was able to see the impact that food and nutrition can have on one’s health and overall well being. Helping the elderly through their diet became a passion of hers, and led her to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition at Lasalle University in Philadelphia.

Through her internship, she spent time in a variety of environments, to include senior centers, schools, public health outreach centers, and adult and pediatric hospitals. She quickly learned that she was able to make the most impact on one’s health through nutrition in the pediatric hospital setting, where she worked with multidisciplinary teams in a variety of disease states for 12 years. She achieved her Masters in Public Health from West Chester University while working full time at the hospital.

Since becoming a mom, Nicole’s interest in nutrition has shifted to overall well being and health through nutrition in all stages of life, not just pediatrics. Nicole strongly believes that all foods can have a place in the diet, and that “everything in moderation” can help lead to a healthful lifestyle.
