About Me
Rachel’s interest in nutrition started in high school when looking for a career path that could encompass both the medical field and food (one of her favorite hobbies is spending time in the kitchen). She had the opportunity to job shadow a dietitian in high school and the rest is history! Rachel’s training in Medical Nutrition Therapy can support clients with a variety of conditions such as diabetes, liver disease and weight management along with disease prevention. Rachel has a passion for helping clients with diabetes management and prevention as she has a close family member living with Type 1 Diabetes everyday.
Rachel believes that all people deserve nutritional care and practices with an empathetic, curious approach with all clients. She believes all clients can find success reaching their goals when practicality, creativity and nutrition science all intersect.
Rachel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Akron and completed her internship during her bachelor’s degree in a variety of settings including school systems, WIC and regional Cleveland Clinic Hospitals. Rachel has been a dietitian for 10 years in the clinical setting and is excited to work clients to share her knowledge and help clients meet their health goals.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time outside as much as the weather allows whether it be with her children attending baseball games and motorsports races or spending time in her favorite hobbies (running, hiking, gardening) with her large white floof (Great Pyrenees) tagging along. When the weather isn’t so great, you can find Rachel inside in the kitchen cooking up something delicious!
