About Me
Selena's interested in being a Dietitian started off at a young age being told at doctors offices that she needed to lose weight. She started exercising and losing some weight. During this time, she thought only eating salads and skipping meals would help her lose weight, but realized she was always hungry and not feeling her best. She started doing my own research and found how importance diet is and started doing her own trial and error diets to see if she would see a difference, but she had no idea what she was doing and if she was doing the right things. At the time she was working at a nursing home and met a coworker who just finished school to be a Dietitian and fell in love with the idea of what a Dietitian does. She went on to start her nutrition career and got her B.S in nutrition and then her M.S in nutrition.
Selena's experience is working mostly with teens, adults, and the elderly. She has worked in various settings such as schools, clinics, hospitals, and long term care. Her passion is in weight loss, diabetes, heart disease, mindful eating, and general wellness. She does have some experience in kidney issues, gut issues, and mental health.
Selena's approach is holistic, realistic, and sustainable. She wants you to be able to feel your best not just physically, but mentally as well.
