Susan Colavito

Susan’s mission is to connect with her clients and patients and guide them to develop sustainable eating habits that will enable them to thrive.

Susan’s love of food, science, and helping people brought her to the field of dietetics and has kept her there! She has worked in many settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, health clubs, adult medical daycares, homecare, and dialysis. Her knowledge includes, but is not limited to diabetes, weight management, renal, heart health, and gut health nutrition. Susan has helped transform lives one to one, in groups, in person, and virtually.

Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Rutgers University. She went on to earn her Master of Science in nutrition from Central Michigan University and complete her dietetic internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Susan thesis for her master’s program assessed the effect of nutrition education on the nutrition knowledge of school aged children in an after-school program. This was important to Susan, being a mom, herself.

When not helping her clients and patients to thrive, Susan loves spending time with her West Highland White Terriers, practicing yoga, and reading classic mysteries.
