About Me
Like many struggling with society’s demands today, Alessia too battled with a healthy relationship with food. Prior to becoming a dietitian, she would worry about every little thing she put in my body, followed food restriction and tracking of everything, fad diets, and exercised for all the wrong reasons. It wasn’t until after she became a dietitian, and started working in the field, she started to thrive on what she was taught. She now views food and nutrition as something that can add to our health & intake; not take away from it. Nutrition is not one size fits all; we are all different and require unique needs. Food provides our body with sustenance to thrive, but it also provides nostalgia.
Throughout her career, she has been working with clients on an individualized level, incorporating intuitive eating into the approach. She specializes in nutrition therapy for chronic conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and gastrointestinal issues like IBS, gastroparesis, and GERD.
Alessia graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Keiser University and has focused on various different certifications.
Alessia enjoys spending time with her family, and staying active by doing things that she loves—whether it’s lifting weights, walking, kayaking, or even dancing!
