About

Sharon McCaskill became interested in nutrition after seeing how much medical nutrition therapy helped her husband following his diagnosis with refractory celiac disease. That experience led her to change careers and become a registered dietitian.

Sharon works closely with clients who want support with weight management and metabolic health, including people taking GLP-1 medications. She helps clients meet their nutrition needs, manage side effects, and build habits that support their health over time. She also works with clients who are interested in using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to better understand their bodies and improve their metabolic health.

Her sessions are centered around the client and what they want to achieve. Sharon helps clients set realistic goals, figure out what may be getting in the way, and choose practical next steps. Together, they look at what is working, what is not, and what needs to change. She wants clients to leave each session with a clear plan that feels doable in their real life.

Sharon also works with clients on digestive health, heart health, emotional eating, family nutrition, plant-based eating, and building balanced eating habits. She understands that food choices are affected by many things, including health needs, family life, schedule, preferences, and budget. Her goal is to help clients make changes that support their health without making food feel more stressful or complicated.

Sharon holds a Master of Arts in Human Services and completed a Didactic Program in Dietetics with a Dietetic Internship at Russell Sage College.

Outside of work, Sharon is a dance mom who loves listening to audiobooks and spending time with her family. She also has two dogs, an Australian Shepherd and a Bernedoodle.
